Formed in Beckenham Kent England in 1980 the collection began on a piece-period foundation with a mark-up comprising Heyward Nick (b. 20 May 1961 Beckenham Kent England vocals) Les Nemes (b. 5 December 1960 Croydon Surrey England bass) and Graham Jones (b. 8 July 1961 Bridlington Top Yorkshire guitar). Beginning the next year they were augmented by Memphis Blair Cunningham (b. 11 October 1957 Harlem Recent York USA drums) Phil Smith (b. 1 May 1959 Redbridge Ilford Essex saxophone) and Blemish Fox (b. 13 February 1958 percussion). Designer/organizer Karl Adams secured them a agreement with Arista Records where they were placed in the hands of producer Bob Sargeant. Their teen request and level punk-pop healthy was flawless for the period and it came as no amazement when their appearance alone "Favourite Shirts (Young man Meets Female)" climbed to math unit 4 in the UK charts.

The follow-up "Adoration Added Individual" did flat excellent firmly establishing the collection as leading pop idols in 1982. Their occupation received a humorless disappointment however when the charming frontman Nick Heyward opening for a solo occupation. In January 1983 Haircut 100 were relaunched with replacement vocalist Blemish Fox. Although the collection hoped to succeed with a recent congregation their singles sold not well and next the delivery of their 1984 holder Tint On Tint they disbanded. Drummer Cunningham after reappeared in individual of the abundant mark-ups of the Pretenders (The).
