The account of swamplords started in 1992 when Pekka Kokko (vocals & bass) Anssi Sepp&aumlnen(guitar) and Petri Sankala (drums) founded Predecessor.

Following assorted demo tapes and mark-up changes Pekka`s sibling Antti joined the circle in 1997. The final nail to Predecessor`s box was demo-CD "Under the Burbot`s Nest" in 1998.

In 1999 there was Pekka Antti and Petri west of Predecessor. They took keyboardist Antti-Matti Talala in the circle and changed the title from Predecessor to Kalmah. Guys needed a new beginning in this it was.

The real earliest Kalmah cd "Svieri Obraza" was recorded at NEO-studios Oulu in Season 1999. Demos 3 strong melodic and speedy songs were good of a preliminary of what these guys could do. This ribbon was made singular for elevation and the aim was getting the recording agreement finally.

In jump 2000 the ribbon was sent to Spikefarm records. The workers of Spikefarm got emotional and recording agreement was made.

Then began the rehearsals for the appearance holder "Swamplord". Mark-up changed a piece and Antti-Matti Talala(keys) was replaced by Pasi Hiltula. Altti Vetel&aumlinen(bass) filled the vacance of basist.

In October 2000 guys headed for the Tico-Tico studios. They recorded 8 songs for the "Swamplord". Ahti Kortelainen recorded and combined the holder. Mark-up on swamplord was Pekka Kokko(gv) Antti Kokko(g) Petri Sankala(d) Pasi Hiltula(k) and Altti Vetel&aumlinen(b). Swamplord was released 11.11 here in Finland and during the dollowing year in Russia Japan Germany Netherlands Switzerland Austria USA Canada and Brazil.

Year 2001 was a period of coins for the circle when it comes to the mark-up. In season Petri and Altti west the circle because of their individual reasons. Replacements were Timo Lehtinen(b) and Janne Kusmin(d) from Catamenia. Following the mark-up coins guys had 5 weeks to write the bodily for the immediately holder. Luckily they managed to get the bodily up on period. The studio began in the start of November.

The recordings of holder "They Choice Coming again" progressed fluently. Mixing and recording were made by Ahti Kortelainen. Holder was filled with 7 recent songs individual re-arranged melody from "Svieri Obraza" demo and individual wrapping melody from Megadeth which have been Antti`s and Pekka`s principal influencer on their harmony carrier. The holder was released 4.2.2002 in Finland.
